Caving is an excellent experience for individuals, couples, families and groups, who will marvel no matter what their age!
The Lake District does have a number of interesting caves to explore, but with literally hundreds of caves within a relatively short distance of the Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales is a caver’s paradise. There, one can experience a rich variety of cave formations as well as squeezes, gaps, underground pools and waterfalls.
Participants make their own way from the Duck to the meeting point via a very scenic 1 hour drive through the South Lakes and into The Yorkshire Dales.
All guides and instructors are experienced cavers with extensive knowledge of the local area and the specific cave system where the activity will take place. Guides will choose appropriate routes and caves depending on weather conditions and the ability of each participant on the day.
Please note that, in the case that the caves are deemed inaccessible due to weather conditions (high water table), the Cathedral Quarry Abseil Adventure will be substituted.
This is a full day adventure, leaving the Duck at 9am with and approximate return time of 5pm. £75 per person.
